The descending sun
creates dramatic lighting effects at Russian Gulch on the coast of Northern
California. A cliff silhouetted with ragged trees casts deep shadows on
the beach. The day's dwindling illumination warms the sand, the rugged
rocks and misty spray at the point. All's peaceful at the edge of the vast
