Dear Friends,
On my annual retreat to Kootenay
Lake, British Columbia, I take time in the tranquillity and beauty of nature
to gain some perspective on my life back in the hubbub. I paint for a few
hours, and spend time on the porch, reading, thinking, unwinding, and watching
the weather. As I began writing on my laptop, sitting on the couch above,
it was cloudy and cool just as in the painting, but now the rain has moved
through and the sun is bright.
