| Here we see "downtown" Larkspur, my hometown for 20 years, just north of San Francisco in brilliant late afternoon winter sunlight-- the old Blue Rock, no longer a hotel, was built in the horse and buggy era, and the art deco Lark Theatre, now closed, it's marquee advertising "Impact," a hollywood suspense movie filmed here in 1949, but perhaps hinting of the threat of progress to the town's historic charm. |
